Issue:
Nearly half of the rear property was a continual swamp because of adjoining
properties draining directly to it. One side was collecting the filter
discharge from the neighboring swimming pool, while the other side
adjoined a steeply graded vacant lot. The backyard was unsuitable for
recreation.
 Remedy:
Design and construct significant landscape and drainage improvements.
- Construct an extensive drainage system below the proposed deck and
brick patio.
- Install an open gravel drainage system along the swimming pool
discharge area with a series of 45 degree bends. Install a stone
border, and cap the drain gravel with river rock to enhance the
existing landscape.
