Issue:

After heavy rains a swamp formed at the corner of the deck and foundation wall. There was some leakage in the basement, and the owner was unable to mow for weeks at a time.

Remedy:

Design and construct a gravel and perforated PVC pipe drainage system (a French Drain) and discharge the water away from the foundation. The French Drain excavation was lined with soil-barrier fabric. Fabric was secured to the gravel surface before placement of top soil and sod.
