DRY CREEK BED

Issue:
In the rear lawn of this property, a swamp formed from neighboring storm water run-off and the owner was unable to mow during seasonal rains.

Remedy:
Construct a “dry” creek bed and redirect water away from the foundation and low areas, to an easement drainage swale. A trench drain (French Drain) with two four inch perforated PVC pipes encased with fabric and gravel runs below the river-rock backfill in a series of 45 degree bends.
